Breeders

United States
Windsprites were originally founded in the Northeastern part of the United States, around the 1960s. Many breeders are still located in the region today. Breed presence in the Midwest is slowly growing and there are a handful of breeders located elsewhere throughout the country as well. See below for an alphabetical listing of breeders by region.
Breeders in the United States sometimes utilize the Windsprites Available in North America Facebook group to share new litters, available pups, planned or confirmed breedings, and the occasional adult for rehoming.

Outside of North America
Windsprites made their way to Europe in the 1980s and are now a recognized breed in several countries across the continent. Today, breeders reside in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland. See below for an alphabetical listing of breeders outside of North America. This listing is not comprehensive and those listed here were transferred from the old IWC website. A new process for European breeders to be listed here is in the works!
* Please note that some litters born in Europe may not be eligible for IWC registration, depending on their breed recognition status in their home country. Non-IWC breeders are listed as a courtesy.
